The Green Party of Seattle works to promote the 10 key ‘green’ values of environmental and social justice through radical and comprehensive electoral and social reform in the city of Seattle. The 10 key values of the green party are listed below and detailed more extensively at the following address: http://www.gp.org/tenkey.shtml. The Green Party does not accept donations from corporations, we rely entirely on the generosity of time and money from concerned individuals. Help us get the corporate money out of, and the people back into, our democracy!

My wife and I are considering a move from Salem, Oregon to the Seattle area. I was wondering if the Green Party of Seattle might be hiring. I’ve done some political canvassing/outreach.
If not, I’d certainly be willing to volunteer if my wife and I do, in fact, move up north.
Lastly, if you’re not hiring, I’d welcome any advice you have for finding employment in Seattle or Everett. I’m especially passionate about nonviolence, racial justice and campaign finance reform.
Thank you for your time.

Hi Garrett – We’re not currently hiring at GPoS as we function as an almost exclusively volunteer organization. But we’d love to have you get involved if you have in fact decided to move to Seattle. Thanks for all your work promoting justice in the NW!

Garrett – if/when you are up in Seattle and want to check out a group in addition to the Seattle Green Party actively working on campaign finance reform, you can with the Get Money Out of Politics working group of Occupy Seattle (meets sunday afternoons-see occupyseattle.org calendar) and/or Washington Public Campaigns (washclean.org). As for jobs, I suggest looking at idealist.org for nonprofit sector jobs that work on your personal passions. SF

My values align well with the Green Party. I’m interested to learn more and participate somehow.
